Increased Access to Insurance
~3/4 of customers did not have access to health insurance products before FHC. Women were more likely to men to be gaining access for the first time.
85% of people said their lives have improved because of the insurance.
Without the insurance, ~60% would have to use savings or sell an asset if hospitalized and another ~25% would have to borrow money.
Stronger Finances & Investment
Even among customers who have not claimed, over 50% have been able to invest more money into their business because they know they have insurance in case of a financial shock.
Over 60% of customers, even those that have not claimed, said they are better able to reach their financial goals because of the insurance.
Greater Peace of Mind
Over 50% of women say the amount of time they spend worrying about their finances has decreased because of the insurance.
Changing Perceptions
Over 75% of customers who have claimed have mentioned the insurance helped lesson the obligation of loan repayment.
Claim payouts were used for a wide range of purposes with many individuals using the money in multiple ways. ~50% of claimants put the money towards medical bills or expenses, 20% used it for household expenses, 20% for investing in their business, and others used it to repay loans, cover transport costs, or pay for school fees.
